Centaurus Overdrive
Made to the exact specs of the original Klon Centaur, our Centaurus overdrive is the most affordable, handmade “Klone” on the market. We’ve recreated the original circuit, all the way down to the original “magic” germanium diodes. We firmly believe that effects should be attainable by all musicians, and the “mojo inflation” prices of originals and other clones are the opposite of that. We stand by making this design highly affordable, and entirely accurate to the original specs.
The Centaurus provides a wide range of tones, from near clean boosting, all the way up to thick overdrive. With lots of volume on tap, a huge range of gain, and a variety of tone range with the treble control you get an all around, and easily “always on” overdrive.
Our Centaurus operates off of industry standard 9v, 2.1mm, center negative power supplies, and draws 40mA. It also features the original design’s buffered bypass and charge pump for seamless switching.
